Subcommittee – Jen Fong

Position: Events Subcommitee

Degree: Bachelor of Accounting


Jen is studying a Bachelor of Accounting, having an interest in commerce and the role of accounting in business. She is keen to learn more about the evolving industry with advancements in technology and the growing connectedness of international markets. Jen has an interest in social justice, particularly the rights of Indigenous Australians and has been fortunate enough to stay and learn from the local Aboriginal community at Uluru. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis and going on runs. Going on road trips and camping is also something she enjoys. Jen is excited to be part of WIB to learn more about the opportunities for women and to learn how women can be better supported in maintaining a work-life balance. 

Work Experience/Future

In the future, Jen would like to be doing something she enjoys in business and perhaps going on more road trips around Australia! Having experience working at Brookfield Asset Management as a finance intern has developed Jen’s interest in finance. In her spare time, Jen volunteers at Jesuit Mission, a non-for-profit which provides education and livelihood programs to marginalised communities in Timor and India.
